TNPSC Preliminary Examinations: 1,330 Aspirants get Qualified

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission has recently announced the results of preliminary examination for 25 vacancies in the state services. The good news is that out of 1,33,282 candidates who appeared in the exam, 1330 cleared the first round.

The given candidates, who have cleared the preliminary examination, are for the posts included in group-1 services of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). These candidates have been provisionally selected for admission to the Main Written Examination for appointment by direct recruitment to the posts of group-1 services.

A notification on the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s website mentions that these candidates have to send by post as well as upload their certificates on or before June 7.

Results of six candidates have been withheld subject to the writ petitions filed by them before the Madras High Court.

A Navaneethakrishnan, chairman, TNPSC said that, "To appear in the main written examination, all selected candidates have to send their documents by post and also upload it on the commission's website before June7, 2013 for verification. In the event of rejection or non submission of the documents, another provisional list of candidates will be prepared."

"The list of provisionally selected candidates includes the general as well as the reserved category candidates. The date of main written examination will be announced soon," he added.

The examinations were held for the posts of eight deputy collectors, four deputy superintendents of police, seven assistant commissioners in commercial tax, five district employment officers and one deputy registrar, on February 16, 2013.

The list of the selected candidates is available in the commission's website www.tnpsc.gov.in.
