Important information of TNPSC Group IV examination 2013

How to Apply
  •  Candidates should apply only through online in the Commission's Website (www.tnpsc.gov.in) or other website specified by the TNPSC.
  • Candidates are advised to apply for this examination and pay the required fees much before the closing date and DO NOT wait till the last date.
  • TNPSC does not take any responsibility for the candidates if they are unable to submit their applications within the last date on account due to heavyload of system or any other unexpected issues.
  • There is a facility to modify the submitted Online Application even after submitting it. Candidates are requested to make use of this facility to correct their details in the Online Application, in case of need. However, please note that this modification facility will be available up to the last date for applying online for the particular post. After this date, no modification will be permitted.
  • TNPSC is not responsible for the online payment failure. The related banks should be contacted in case of payment failures.

Instructions to Candidates appearing for Group IV Objective Type Examination

Hello Candidates,

Have you applied for TNPSC Group IV examination? Now that you have submitted your applications, start preparing well for the examination.Hold on, that is not the only point. You should also keep the following things in mind, before proceeding to the Examination.

Points to be remembered

1. Remember to keep the Hall Ticket Safe and carry it to the examination Hall without fail.
2. For the objective type of examination, Use only Black or Blue colour Ball Pen only.
3. Remember that answer sheet will be rejected if shaded with Pencil.
4. Negative Marking - One mark will be deducted for each incorrect or not attended questions.
5. The answer sheet will also be rejected if the shading of answers is not proper and not verifyable through physical verification too.
6. Answering those subjects which is different from the subject opted by the candidates will also be rejected.
7. Marking anything other than answers or writing anything on the tracking side of OMR sheets will lead to rejection of answer sheets.

Results for Group I Services Preliminary Examination

RESULTS OF PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION FOR THE POSTS INCLUDED IN GROUP–I SERVICES

The results of the Preliminary Examinations that were conducted for Group I have been published by TNPSC.

The candidates whose Register Numbers have been mentioned in the results are provisonally selected for admission to the Main Written Examination for appointment by direct recruitment to ALL POSTS
INCLUDED IN GROUP–I SERVICES. The examinations were conducted on 16.02.2013.

The selected candidates have to send their certificates in support of their claims(viz Educational Qualification, Date of Birth, Gender, Community, PSTM Status etc) made in their online application along with a copy of online application on or before 07.06.2013 without fail.

The certificates should be sent by post as well as can be uploaded online on the TNPSC site.

Candidates who do not send and upload one/more of the documents mentioned above will entitle summary rejection of his/her application.

Any false certificates produced by the candidates will be viewed seriously and is liable for penal action to be
initated by the Commission against them besides rejection of their application.
In case of failure to upload the documents and/or in case any rejection of applications an additional provisional list of candidates to be admitted to the Main Written Examination will be subsequently published.

Such candidates will be admitted to Main Written Examination after verification of documents to be submitted within the prescribed period.

TNPSC - Exam Fee for Special Qualifying Examination for Assistant Surgeons


Dear Candidates,

The examination fee for applying to the Special Qualifying Examination for Assistant Surgeons is Rs.175/- (Rupees one hundred and seventy five only). This has to be paid by all the candidates.

Cost of Application - Rs . 50/-
Examination fee       - Rs.125/-

Exemptions

  • Candidates those who are claiming exemption from examination fee should pay Rs. 50/- towards Application Cost.
  • Candidates who are claiming for exemptions should have to pay the service charges applicable to the Bank or Post Office or Fee Processing Agency. That is not exempted.
  • Those candidates, who have registered in the onetime registration system and paid the registration fee of Rs.50/- and received the registration ID need not pay the application fee for a period of 5 years from the date of registration even if he/she applies for any other posts, subsequently notified by the Commission. But those candidates shall pay examination fee, if applicable.

TNPSC - Selection Procedure for Assistant Surgeons

The selection of candidates for the post of Assistant Surgeons on regular basis will be made in two successive stages

(i) Main Examination and
(ii) Oral Test in the shape of an interview.

Final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidates at the Main Examination in both the papers and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments.

Candidates’ have to compulsorily attend both in the Main Examination in all the papers and Oral Test.

A candidate who has not appeared for any of the paper in Main Examination or for the Oral Test will not be eligible for selection, even if he/she secures the minimum qualifying marks in the Main Examination.

TNPSC - Computer Based Test for Assitant Surgeon Exam

The Special Qualifying Examination for Assistant Surgeons can be taken as Computer Based Test (CBT). The venue for the examination is only Chennai and no other examination centre has been given for this exam.

The candidate has to carry the Hall Ticket (Admission Card) and same has to be produced at the examination venue. Each Candidate will be assigned a Computer to take up the examination. Candidates will be provided with a user name and password to login the system. Necessary instructions will be displayed on screen. Kindly read and follow all the instructions carefully.

  • Computer Based Test (CBT) is similar to paper pen shading test.
  • In CBT, questions with four options each will be displayed in the computer screen.
  • Candidate has to click one of the best answer to the question.
  • Candidates can proceed to the next question by clicking next button. Or previous question by clicking previous button. Further, they can select any question by clicking the question number displayed at the bottom.
  • Candidates can review any question and the answers, and the answers can be changed at any time before the closure of examination. They can skip the questions also, if they desire so.
  • Use the keyboard only to key-in the Register number, User id (Reg_id) and Password.
  • Candidate can use only the mouse to select the correct answers and proceed with answering the questions.
  • Candidates can submit their answers at any time during the examination. If he / she wants to close the examination, he / she can but shall remain in the seat till the scheduled time of examination.
  • Once the answers are submitted, the candidates have no option to proceed further.
  • If the candidate fails to submit their responses at the closure of examination, the system will automatically submit the responses chosen till that point of time of the candidate to the server.
  • No computer knowledge is required to take up the CBT. Knowledge in Mouse operation is suffice to take up the CBT.
  • The question and answers can be zoomed to the required level for the candidates with visual impairment.
  • Candidates will be admitted to the examination till 30 minutes from the commencement of the examination.
  • Candidates have to sign the attendance sheet and affix thumb impression for verification of his identity.
  • All the activities of the candidates with the mouse will be recorded in the server and a log file will be created for future reference.
  • The Examination Hall will be under camera surveillance.

TNPSC - Exam Pattern for Special Qualifying Examination for Assistant Surgeon

TNPSC has recently called for applications from all temporary assistant surgeons for a special qualifying examination, which will make them continue in the same post on regular basis.

The question paper will have two parts.
Medical Science - Paper I and Medical Science - Paper II have been clubbed together and will constitute a single syllabus. A single Question paper in the said syllabus will be set in English only.

The Syllabus for General Studies (Paper-II) is will be set in both Tamil and English.

TNPSC - How to apply for Specially Qualifying Examination for Assistant Surgeon

Hello Readers,

For all those temporary Assistant Surgeons who want to become regular Assistant Surgeons, you have to apply for the Specially Qualifying Examination for the same.

Given below are the step by step procedure for teh same.
  • Candidates should apply only through online in the Commission’s Website www.tnpsc.gov.in or in www.tnpscexams.net
  • Before applying, the candidates should have scanned image of their photograph in the specified size and signature in CD/DVD/Pen drive as per their convenience.
  • A valid e-mail ID or Mobile Number is mandatory for registration and e-mail ID should be kept active till the declaration of results. You are cautioned to keep your e-mail ID and pass word confidentially. TNPSC will send Hall Tickets (Memorandum of Admission) for Main Examination in Computer Based Test method, Interview Call Letters, Other Memos etc. to the registered / given e-mail ID only.
  • Please note that all the particulars mentioned in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Post Applied, Communal Category, Date of birth, Address, E-mail ID, Centre of Examination etc. will be considered as final and no modifications will be allowed after the last date specified for applying online.
  • Since certain fields are firm and fixed and cannot be edited, candidates are requested to fill in the online application form with the utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be entertained.
  • The candidates who wish to receive SMS should register their mobile number in the application.
Applying Online
  • Candidates are first required to log on to the TNPSC’s website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net
  • Click “Apply Online” to open up the On-Line Application Form.
  • Select the name of the post or service for which you wish to apply.
  • If you already have Unique ID, please enter the Unique ID and password to view the already available information and update them, if necessary.
  • If you do not have valid ID, please enter all the required particulars without skipping any field.
  • Candidates are required to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.
  • An online application uploaded without the photograph and signature will be rejected.
Submission of Applications
  • Candidates should submit filled in online application form directly to the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.The Head of Office / Department shall forward the print out of applications with the following details to the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine.
  • They shall also submit a print out copy of online applications through proper channel as given below

TNPSC - Qualification for Assistant Surgeons Post

Given below are the qualifications that are required from applicants who apply for the post of regular Assistant Surgeons:

AGE QUALIFICATION
  1.  Age as on 01.07.2013 - Max age 35 years (should not have completed this age) No Maximum age limit for SCs, SC(A)s, STs, MBCs/DCs, BCs, BCMs and Destitute Widows of all castes.
  2. Candidates, who have exceeded the prescribed maximum age limit may also apply. The age rule will be relaxed by the Government, if they come up for selection.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:
  Applicants should have the following or its equivalent qualification on the date of their temporary appointment as Assistant Surgeons:-
  • Must possess the degree of M.B.B.S. of any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission for the purpose of its grant or the D.M. and S. of the Government of Tamil Nadu.
  • Must be a Registered Medical practitioner within the meaning of Madras Medical Registration Act, 1914.
  • The above given qualification should have been obtained by passing the required degree course in the order of studies, 10th, HSC,Bachelor’s degree.
  • Persons claiming equivalence of qualification should furnish evidence for such claim along with the copy of their applications.

How to pay Fee for TNPSC Group IV examinations

The Fee for TNPSC Group IV examinations can be paid in two ways:

1. Online payment
2. Offline payment

Online Mode
  1. This can be done if the candidate possesses a Debit card / Credit card or Internet banking access.
  2. When the candidates opt pay fees through the online payment gateway, i.e. Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit card Payment, an additional page of the application form will be displayed. In this page, the candidates should follow the instructions and fill in the requisite details to make payment.
  3. After submitting the payment information in the online application form, please wait for the intimation from the server, DO NOT press back or Refresh button in order to avoid double charges.
  4. If the online transaction has been successfully completed a Registration Number and Password will be generated. Candidates should note their Application Number and Password for future reference in respect of the post applied for.
Offline Mode
  1. This can be done through Post Offices or Indian  Bank.
  2. For this option, the candidates have to select either Post Office or Indian Bank Branch.
  3. Then Click the “SUBMIT” to submit the Application form.
  4. Candidates will be provided with Application Number and password. The applicants should note down the Application Number and password.
  5. On Submission of the application form, system will generate the payment Chalan. The candidates should take print out and go to the nearest branch of Indian bank or the Designated Post, to make the payment.
  6. After paying the fee, the candidates should collect the candidate’s copy of the fee payment Chalan from the Branch. The candidate should then check that the Chalan whether it is properly signed and the details of Transaction Number, Branch Name, DP Code Number and Deposit Date have
    been noted in the Chalan by the Branch authorities.
  7. Online Application Registration will be taken as successful one, only if the payment is made either in the post office or in the Indian Bank within two working days from the date of registration/submission of application.

How to apply for TNPSC Group IV Examination

Given below are the step by step procedures for applying for TNPSC examination.

Requirements for applying
The candidates should apply only through ONLINE (Internet) and hence, should be computer/net savvy.

Before applying, the candidates should have scanned image of their photograph and signature and save it in CD or pendrive.
The candidates should possess a valid e-mail ID or Mobile Number and this is mandatory for registration. E-mail ID should be kept active till the declaration of results.

TNPSC will send Hall Tickets (Memorandum of Admission) for Written Examination and Other Memos etc. to the registered/given e-mail ID only.
How to apply

Candidates should apply only through ONLINE in the TNPSC Commission’s Website
www.tnpsc.gov.in or in www.tnpscexams.net.

All the details given in the online application including Name of the Candidate, Post Applied, Communal Category, Date of birth, Address, e-mail ID, Centre of Examination etc. will be considered as final and
no modifications will be allowed after the last date specified for applying online.

In the online application form, Since fields are fixed and cannot be edited once entered. Hence, candidates should fill in the online application form with the utmost care and caution as no correspondence regarding change of details will be taken by TNPSC.
The candidates who wish to receive SMS should register their mobile number in the application.
Procedure for applying
1) Candidates are first required to log on to the TNPSC’s website www.tnpsc.gov.in or www.tnpscexams.net.
2) Click “Apply Online” to open up the On-Line Application Form.
3) Select the name of the post or service for which you wish to apply.
4) If you already have Unique ID, please enter the Unique ID and password to view the already available information and update them, if necessary.

5) If you do not have valid ID, please enter all the required particulars without skipping any field.

6) Then, the scanned image of photograph and signature should be uploaded as per the specifications given in the Guidelines for Scanning and Upload of Photograph and Signature.

Note: An online application uploaded without the photograph and signature will be rejected.
7) Go through the filled in fields once and do corrections, if required.

8) Submit the applicatins once all columns are filled properly.

9) After submitting the application, candidates can print /save their application in PDF format.

10) On entering Application Number and password, Candidates can download their application and print, if required.
11) Candidates need not send the printout of the online application or any other supporting documents to the Commission. The certificates will be verified only when the candidates come up for next stage of selection.
