Graduate Teacher’s appointment list delayed constantly

The recruitment and appointment of Post Graduate teachers for Botany subject are being delayed continuously for some time now.

About 2,300 graduate teacher candidates who wrote the TET entrance examination have all been selected and posted to various posts of their specialization by the month of December, 2012. These teachers have also got their 2 months’ salary in this duration. But the teacher candidates who appeared for the recruitment under Botany subject are yet to be announced of the final result list and the counseling is yet to be done.

With regards to the issue of wrong questions scenario, the analysis and release of results for the Botany subject has been held by the order of Madras High Court. It is being said that about 195 candidates will be selected through this finalization.

As far as Tamil medium based subject teachers  recruitment system is concerned, due to the 20% consideration reform introduction, the list is still not released. It is still a work in progress.

When asked the TET Board about this issue, they replied that the Botany teacher candidate’s selection list has been finalized and will be released soon. As for the Tamil medium based teacher candidates recruitment for the 200 cant seats available, the TRB has been constantly questioning various Universities and Colleges as to which groups and subjects are being taught in Tamil medium so as to help the board realize the authenticity of Tamil medium based candidates.

Soon the above problem will be sorted and the 200 vacancies in History, Commerce and Economics subjects will be filled accordingly, say the sources.

Proper planning can help you win in TNPSC Group I examinations

The female candidate Madhurandagi who was placed the first in the TNPSC Group I services examination 2012-2013, said to the reporters that planned and properly concisely worked out study plan can help one achieve the heights in the examinations. All that one needs to be concerned about is proper planning and execution thereof.  The counseling for direct recruitment posting for about 131 vacant posts in the TNPSC Group Services like the posts of D.S.P, R.T.O etc., was conducted on 14-02-2013 for the deserving candidates.

Madhurandagi selected for the R.T.O post. Usually the candidates are assigned to various posts on the basis of their score report and the post superiority. But this time the selection of the desired posts was left to the candidate’s choices.

Mr. Natraj, Chairman of the TNPSC Board, congratulated Madhurandagi and two other candidates who were placed in the first three positions of the ranking in Group I services, and personally awarded their selection letter. He also presented a book of Swami Vivekananda’s sayings to all the selected candidates as a move of appreciating the quality values of the Public Service. He said that the Tamil Culture believes in “Service to Lord is Service to Mankind”.

So plan well and study well. Work hard and success is yours to achieve!

517 candidates pass the TNPSC Group II Examinations

About 517 candidates who studied in Humanities Training Center and took the TNPSC Group II examinations passed the written examinations successfully.
\
Humanities Training Center is an institution that gives training to the poor and scheduled graduate students for the competitive exams.

Through this institution, the IAS, IPS, IFS and IRS courses are being taught and trained to the students. Also TNPSC courses like Group I and Group II courses are being taught and trained. On that note about 2,125 candidates are working in State and Central divisions, trained from the Humanities Training Center.

The candidates of TNPSC being trained at the center took up the Group II examinations on 4th November of the year 2012 and as such the results for the first phase, that is, written examinations were announced yesterday. Of the many that participated in the exams , about 517 got selected from the institute. Following this good turn further free training will be continued for the above said students to the oral examinations and direct recruitment examinations of the Group II examination course.

TNPSC Group I Examinations is easy or tough?

The TNPSC Group I and Group II examinations cover the major Public Service positions like the Municipal Officer, Deputy Collector etc. As such every year a large number of candidates apply for these exams and try their skills and luck in attaining the posts.

A brief interview was conducted among the male and female candidates who took up the TNPSC Group I exams as of yesterday. It was conducted in about 352 centers all over Tamil Nadu.
In this, the female candidates said that the test was easy and the male candidates said the test was not so easy.
To fill about 25 vacant posts in the Group I services examination, TNPSC conducted this entrance examination as a leeway for the deserving candidates to get through and to be recruited. About 1 lakh candidates participated in this entrance examination.
The test was conducted in the Fore Noon session between 10.00 to 01.00PM. Huge precautions were taken with Web cam Service, Police Inspectors, Examination Supervisors and such.
Chairman of TNPSC, Mr. Natraj personally inspected a few of the test centers in Tamil Nadu. To the interviewers he replied that –
The examination results will be out by March of this year, followed by which the main examination will be conducted in the month of May. By the month of August, the direct recruitment will be conducted and the final results will be announced at the end of the year. He also said that the present availability of 25 vacant posts in the gRoup I services can also easily rise to a 50 vacant seats by the end of the year.
A few female candidates were interviewed about the nature of the examination. They said –
Sagi from Vyasarpadi – The examination went fine. There were a lot of questions from Maths and Science and I did well.
The other few female candidates were also of the same opinion. But when male candidates were enquired of the same, they said –
Gopi from Arakonam – The multiple choice questions usually of the type (1) alone is correct, (1) & (2) is correct is the trend followed with the Group I and Group Ii exams. Usually if two of the four choices are deciphered, the question would be easy to be answered. But this time, only if one could figure out three options of the four, could they fgure out the right answer.
There were a lot of questions from Maths and Science alone. In Tamil literature most questions were centered from “Ottrai Ilakkiyam”. All these things made the exam really tough.
All in all let us hope all the candidates clear the exams with flying colours and good will.

How to handle the new pattern of TNPSC Examination

The TNPSC system has under gone so many changes as it is being repeated again and again by the press and other media sources. This has lead to a new schedule which has been coined by the Chairman of TNPSC Mr. Natraj, who released it a few days back. This schedule has all the details regarding the new changes that have redefined the source and method of several examinations being written so far to the year 2013-2014.

As such, starting with the Group I examinations which will commence on February 16th, 2013 will be heretofore called The State Civil Examinations. And this Group I examinations will also comprise of 4 papers in the preliminary exams. Besides the posts like Municipal Commissioner and Sub-registrar from Group II services have been upgraded into Group I services.

The posts like revenue officer in Group II services have been filled and recruited so far based on preliminary and interview examinations. These posts will from now on be recruited by Preliminary test, main test and then the interview examinations. The preliminary and main tests are both part of written examinations where in as the preliminary examinations have multiple choice based questions, the main test will have explanation answers based pattern.

The VAO (Village Administrative Officer) posts here after will have village Administration based questions pattern. No changes in Group IV services examination till now. All in all, every examination is reframed to have an aptitude section which would test the IQ (Intelligence Quotient) and EQ (Emotional Quotient) of the candidates taking up the examinations.

How to prepare oneself for the new syllabus and handle the same:
  • Try to read smart than reading all. Plan and then execute the reading part.
  • Read properly the Science and Social Studies books of Tenth and Twelfth Standard syllabus.
  • TNPSC has introduced a new paper called CSAT (Civil services Aptitude Test) which is a predominant paper in the UPSC examinations for posts like IAS and IPS. This handles the Aptitude part of the new schedule for all exams.
  • For day-to-day happenings related to General Knowledge section, read newspapers daily to get an idea of what is what in the world around you.
  • There will always be 5 sure questions on Indian Political system and the Five-year plans. Gather information on these aspects and keep a personal note on them.
  • When reading scientific aspects, it is advised to make sure that all the methods and principles of the subject are being understood.
  • Have a sure choice of language selection for the exam. If you are fluent in English, do the exams in English; otherwise opt for Tamil medium based exams.
  • Also practice with atleast 10 model papers for each examination. Take model question papers based on CSAT also and revise them.
These points will surely help the candidate pass the exams with flying colours.

Try the above technique and be successful with the new system.

All the Best!
