The Assistant Jailor is the Jailor’s immediate assistant, whose duty is to take the Jailor’s place whenever he is absent. He also performs several clerical activities such as writing up of books, registers and preparing statements. They report to the Superintendent and perform executive duties as prescribed by him by order.
