TNPSC Librarian in TN Secretariat Service and TN Legislative Assembly Secretariat Service Recruitment 2016

Tamilnadu Public Service Commission will be conducting selection procedure for recruitment of librarians in Tamilnadu Secretariat Service, Tamilnadu Legislative Assembly Secretariat Service, Economic, Industries and Commerce and Statistics, Office of the Director, State Council for Educational Research and Training, Law College, Veterinary Preventive Medicine, Civil Service Training Institute in this year.

The primary job responsibilities of a librarian include keeping records of circulation and materials, checking books that are entering and leaving the library, explaining use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services, and provide information about library policies, reviewing and evaluating resource material, such as book reviews and catalogues, in order to select and order print, audiovisual, and electronic resources, to code, classify, and catalogue books, publications, films, audiovisual aids, and other library materials based on subject matter or standard library classification systems, responding to reader’s complaints, taking action as necessary and organizing collections of books, publications, documents, audiovisual aids, and other reference materials for convenient access.

Age Limit:

The aspiring candidate’s Minimum Age must be 18 Years or above and his Maximum Age must not have exceeded 30 Years.

Selection Process:

Selection will be made in two successive stages i.e.

(i)           Written Examination and

(ii)          Oral Test.

Tentative date of examination:

July 31^st 2016 (Sunday)

Tentative Result Date:

3^rd week of September 2016

Tentative date of certificate verification:

2^nd week of October 2016

Tentative date of Oral test:
