Tamilnadu Public Service Commission has released official notification No.3/2016 dated 19.2.2016 for direct recruitment of vacancies corresponding to Tester and Assistant Tester posts in Tamilnadu Industries Subordinate Service. This examination is conducted to fill 6 open vacancies in this department.  Now let us see the Education qualification required to apply for these posts:

Educational Qualification (as on 01 November 2015):

A Degree in Electrical Engineering OR Electronics Engineering with experience of one year in the field of Electrical Testing in a recognized concern.

OR 

A Diploma in Electrical Engineering OR Electronics Engineering with experience of three years in the field of Electrical Testing in a recognized concern or  its equivalent qualification awarded by any University or Institution recognized by the UGC or Board.

Note:

The 20% reservation of vacancies on preferential allotment to Persons Studied in Tamil Medium (PSTM) will apply for this recruitment.

TNPSC Architectural Asst / Planning Asst In Tamilnadu Town & Country Planning Sub. Service Recruitment 2016

Tamilnadu Public Service Commission has planned to announce notification for Architectural Assistant and Planning Assistant recruitment in Tamilnadu Town and Country Planning Subordinate Service later in this year.

The job responsibilities of an architectural assistant may involve preparing and developing architectural drawings in order to meet the specifications of the customers, assisting the architects in any kind of architectural projects, either for personal homes or for business purposes, reviewing or modifying the plans according to the directions given by the architect, working with special computer programs, such as AutoCAD, Coreldraw or databases for the projects, supporting and helping the architects they work with in finding the best solutions for complex technical problems.

Planning assistant is an entry-level position within professional planning, and focuses on helping senior planners develop intricate plans for various public and private development projects. The main role of planning assistants is to perform research and compile project proposals. Planning assistants need a blend of strong analytical and organizational skills. Planning assistants may help to execute other project needs, such as obtaining special permits or licenses, supervising providers of consultancy services, maintaining communication between the developers, government agencies and other interest groups, and ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations. After the completion of various development projects, planning assistants may arrange for community reviews and respond to public inquiries.

TNPSC TN Secretariat Service Research Officer and Senior Research Assistant Post Overview

Tamilnadu Public Service Commission will be releasing notification for filling 2 vacancies (1+1) for the post of Research Officer in Tamilnadu Secretariat Service and Senior Research Assistant in Tamilnadu Public Service Commission.

Research officers undertake research and evaluation activities that provide government departments and local authorities with evidence required for the formulation, implementation and evaluation of policies. Primary responsibilities of the job include writing research specifications, agreeing project requirements, objectives and research reference terms, searching for and retrieving information from paper-based sources, the internet and online databases, interviewing members of the public, using a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods, analysing data, writing/editing draft reports and keeping up-to-date with research/policy developments.

A Senior Research Assistant undertakes and contributes to research activity and provide support for researchers and research teams as required. His job responsibilities include undertaking research which might include preparing, setting up, conducting and recording outcomes of projects, conducting individual or collaborative research projects, including the development of personal/group objectives, preparing reports and presenting information to research group, writing up own work and results of personal research with a view to publication and analysing and interpreting results of own/group research, making use of standard and new research methods and techniques.

Tamilnadu Public Service Commission has released official notification No.2/2016 dated 12.2.2016 for direct recruitment of vacancies in Block Health Statistician posts. This examination is conducted to fill 172 open vacancies in this department.
