 Group II A Services Exam

Revised pattern of Question Paper

The revised pattern has a choice of answering 100 questions on Tamil Heritage, history, culture and literature in either English or Tamil. The number of questions in Tamil has been cut down to include more aptitude based questions. Such revisions have raised a lot of disagreement among many.

According to the former chairman of TNPSC, R.Natraj, in the former pattern, sometimes English paper turned out to be very easy whereas the Tamil grammar paper had tough questions. The revised syllabus gives the aspirants a chance to choose the best for themselves; either answers English or Tamil questions. Many of them can turn this opportunity into an advantage to score well.

The aspirants should study all subjects thoroughly and should not read any new topic a day before exams. One should revise all portions once. One should be clear about the venue of the examination and should make prior arrangements for reaching the place on time. Aspirants should carry enough pencils and pens required to answer the exams as sharpening a pencil in the exam hall will eat into your answering time.

Last but an important advice is that one must not chat with friends or enter into last minute studies or discussions. A cool mind with a positive attitude will help one concentrate well while answering the paper.
