What is the syllabus for Group 2 TNPSC Exams?

The TNPSC (Tamilnadu Public Service Commission) was established in the year 1923 for examine the salaries of people working for the Indian Civil service. The TNPSC exams are conducted, as per requirements, in order to recruit people to provide services to the state.

The TNPSC has recently invited candidates for the post of Village Administrative Officer. Applicants should have passed S.S.L.C examination or its equivalent to qualify the eligibility criteria. The aspirants can appear for exams that have attained the age of 21 years. The upper age limit is 40 years. It is also important to pass the TNPSC language certificate test for those who did not have Tamil as a subject in school.

Group-II Exam

TNPSC group-II A services Exam Notification for the year 2014 suggests there are over five seventy seven posts available for the post of Assistant and Accountant. This exam will be conducted next month on June 29th and the time schedule for the same has been published by the department.

Since the annual planner has let out the information surrounding the examination date and the candidates can check whether their names with their register name are listed on the official website of TNPSC.

 If unlisted, they can assume they are not selected for the exam or they can contact TNPSC directly to get the status of their application. They can email to contact TNPSC@gmail.com with their name, register number and the application fee paid. Shortlisted candidates are expected to appear for the exam on the mentioned date. Once the email of the applicant is verified by the TNPSC employees, the eligible candidates will be sent instructions to download the hall ticket.

Competition between eligible candidates

The competition for Group II exam is very high due to the fact; there are over two lakh candidates writing this exam. TNPSC exam is conducted in two ways -written test followed by an Interview. If you have passed the test by scoring above average marks, even better out of two hundred questions, if you have cleared more than one fifty questions, you are likely to get selected for the interview and it will be conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission. The total mark is 300.General Tamil or English will have 100 marks and General knowledge questions will have a total of 100 questions.

 Preparing for the language paper is the first and foremost thing you must do as you will have the chance to get at least 80-90 questions right in that particular paper. Compared to other competitive exams getting highest score is possible in TNPSC group-II.

The rest of the question paper deals with general knowledge and you can easily score high marks in it, if you allocate just one hour daily. That’s all is required to crack the exam.

Model papers will be provided to you on abundant supply unless you are studying in a coaching Centre. If that is not the case, you can always find model question papers of TNPSC online. Previous year questions papers also are made available to you. All that is said, if you really want a government post in Tamil Nadu, you must be willing to make an effort to study for the exam.
