The primary job responsibilities of a librarian include keeping records of circulation and materials, checking books that are entering and leaving the library, explaining use of library facilities, resources, equipment, and services, and provide information about library policies, reviewing and evaluating resource material, such as book reviews and catalogues, in order to select and order print, audiovisual, and electronic resources, to code, classify, and catalogue books, publications, films, audiovisual aids, and other library materials based on subject matter or standard library classification systems, responding to reader’s complaints, taking action as necessary and organizing collections of books, publications, documents, audiovisual aids, and other reference materials for convenient access.

TNPSC Jailor Recruitment 2016 Post Overview
