The cut off marks based on which the candidates are selected
and further are called for the 1st and 2nd days of the
counseling with the option of selection of posts in the desired districts for
the post of VAO, which has its counseling running from yesterday 03-01-2013 are
as given below.
The cut off marks have been decided on the basis of the
candidate’s degree (graduation, higher secondary or diploma), gender, birth
date and caste criterions.
The general caste candidates need to have the highest cut
off with 246 marks while the BC/MBC, SC/ST are given preferences over the cut
off marks.
Also the native language students, i.e. Tamil medium
students in all castes are given preferences in the cut off marks similarly.
GENERAL –highest cut off marks – 246
BACKWARD – highest cut off marks – 238.50
MOST BACKWARD– highest cut off marks –238.50
SCHEDULED CASTES– highest cut off marks –232.50
SCHEDULED TRIBES– highest cut off marks –216
In case of two or more candidates scoring equal marks, the
candidates possessing the highest educational qualification is placed above in
the merit list. When the marks obtained in the Written Examination and the
educational qualifications are also the same, then the candidate senior in age
is placed above in the merit list.
When the age too is equal, then the candidate who has
submitted his/her application earlier to the Commission is placed above in the
merit list.
