required for this exam is 3 hours. Minimum qualifying marks for the selection
is 90.
Candidate’s needs to have technical qualification of
higher or senior grade in Tamil and English for the posts typist and Steno-typist.
Initially these posts will be considered essential for the selection. If candidates
with technical qualification of higher are not available. In such condition the
candidates with technical qualification of higher or senior grade in Tamil and
lower grade or junior grade in English will be considered for the selection.
If in case candidates with technical qualification of
higher or senior grade in Tamil and English, lower or junior grade in English,
higher or senior grade in Tamil are not available. Candidates with technical
qualification of senior or higher grade in English and junior or lower grade in
Tamil will be considered for selection.
Through group 4 exam candidates can be selected to the
service positions such as

Junior Assistant
·
Field Surveyor
·
Typist
·
Bill Collector Group.

·
Steno Typist
·
Draftsman
TNPSC Group 4 exam is an objective type. It has single
paper that delivers 200 marks and that has two types those are
1.
First one is
Aptitude test and General English in general studies.
2.
Second type
consists of Aptitude test and general Tamil in General Studies.
So, participants can choose either Tamil or English
for answering the questions.
The posts like field surveyor other things being
preference shall be given equal preference to the Candidates with ITI
qualification.
