Selection of 73 candidates for Group I exam cancelled by TNPSC

Recently, TNPSC has cancelled 73 candidates from selecting for the TNPSC Group I (2011-2012).

TNPSC Chairman A. Navaneethakrishnan spoke to media and said: “On verification of certificates, it is found that there are changes in eligibility status of 95 candidates.”

TNPSC had earlier released a list of 1330 selected candidates for the Group I main examinations on May 16. Later on, they found that the number of such provisionally selected candidates were not enough and hence revised the list, increasing the number of candidates to 1391.

The revised list has an additional 134 candidates who will appear for the Group I mains examination on September 27, 28 and 29. The main examinations will be held in Chennai.

The candidates who have been selection provisionally, have to upload their documents online and send required documents by registered post by August 26. Those candidates who fail to send the documents by August 26 will not be eligible to take the main examinations.

The Group I preliminary examination was held on February 16 and it is mainly for filling up 25 vacancies in the Tamil Nadu Government division.
