Educational Qualification eligibility details for TNPSC Scientific Assistant Grade-II post

As far as the educational qualifications part for the posts of Scientific Assistant Grade-II in the Tamil Nadu Forensic Science Subordinate Service in TNPSC is concerned, the candidates should possess:

• M.Sc., (Forensic Science) Degree and a degree in the subject, for the group as shown in the explanation below to which he/she is appointed
or

• M.Sc., Degree in the subject for the group as shown in the explanation below to which he/she is appointed
Other things being equal, preference shall be given to a person who holds a degree in M.Sc., (Forensic Science)

The Degree qualification prescribed should have been obtained after passing SSLC/10th, H.S.C, Bachelor's Degree.

Note I :-

(i) A person with Bio-Chemistry as his subject in the degree is eligible for appointment only in the Biology and Serology divisions in the Biology Group and in the Toxicology division in Chemistry Group.
(ii) A person appointed in the documents and photography division will take his seniority either in the Chemistry or Physics Group according to his subject in the degree.

(iii) A person with Botany as his subject in the degree is eligible for appointment only in the Biology Division in the Biology Group.
