Changes in the Recruitment of TNPSC Combined Engineering Services

The Combined Engineering Services examination is probably one of the examinations under TNPSC which has undergone most number of changes with the syllabus, scheme and date of examination again and again. The reforms of TNPSC from last year have been proving a gateway for so many changes and alterations in the TNPSC pattern that leads to many conflicts with the timely conduct of examinations. Also, the candidates themselves have been finding this process a lot difficult to cope with as they have had to change their method and way of preparation based on the scheme and pattern last known. The previous year question papers posted through the website also become useless on this occasion except at a few vital points pressuring the candidates to rely on their general knowledge and adaptability to cope with the fast changes. But it is only a short inconvenience as this reform will provide the candidates in the future with easier approach to the TNPSC system. So, the flexibility and adaptability is highly valued with the TNPSC candidates this season.

As such, about the Combined Engineering Services Examination that was dated to be held at 16.02.2013 by notice on 11.01.2013 after a change from the 24.12.2012 notice, is again changed and rescheduled as follows:

Date and Time of Written Examination in Computer Based Test format

Paper - I (Optional Subject)
 02/03/2013
 (FN) 10.00 A.M. to 01.00 P.M
Paper - II (General Knowledge)
02/03/2013
(AN) 02.30 P.M. to 04.30 P.M

The candidates will be expected to write both the papers the same day with a lunch break of 1.30 hrs in between.

Further changes and rescheduling will be updated as notified by the TNPSC Board.
